Team Goal

To protect our Hill Country way of life environment and ecology from unnecessary construction of roadways across unspoiled land
To remove the FM150 West Extension and roundabout project at RR12 and FM150 from Hays County and Dripping Springs 2021 Master Transportation plans

4/10/21 Organized neighborhood meeting to gather information concerning these projects
- Resulted meeting 1:1 with Mayor Foulds
- K. Friese & Associates also presented at this meeting
- Realization of the need to do research on our own to answer questions in order to present to our community stakeholders
10/30/21 public meeting was held
- 100 participants including Mayor Bill Foulds, Hays County Commissioner Walt Smith, representatives from K. Friese & Associates (Project manager for FM150 West Extension), Save our Springs Alliance, other environmental groups, ranch owners and residents.
- Resulting in the creation of a mailing list of interested stakeholders
12/15/21 Follow up meeting with K. Friese & Associates and project team for the FM150/RR12 Roundabout project at the Holiday Inn, Dripping Springs
- Resulting in K. Friese updating Frequently Ask Questions posed by team
Attendance at subsequent Dripping Springs Transportation meetings
- Learned the scope of influence that the county has verses the city of DS
1:1 meeting with Dripping Springs Transportation Committee Chairman – Travis Crow
Interviews and subsequent articles by San Antonio newspaper and Cable TV network reporters

Support campaigns for opponents of incumbent Hays County Commissioner Walt Smith (Precent 4) to defeat Walt Smith in the primary
- Joe Bateman – Republican
- Susan Cook - Independent
Get out and vote in the Primary against Commissioner Walt Smith
Continue dialog with Erin Zwiener regarding wastewater and influence over Hays County
Commissioner Court on West Extension of FM150/Roundabout projects
Obtain and publish responses from unanswered questions to K. Friese & Associates from 10/30/21 and 12/15/21 meetings
Finalize Take Action Today site and form letter to send your comments to elected officials to stop the Roundabout and FM150 West Extension projects
